Terms of Service
These terms apply when you use Upklass, whether on the web or through our mobile apps. By creating an account or joining a community, you agree to them.
Last updated 17 August 2026
1. Your account
You must give accurate information when you sign up and keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed it.
Most Upklass communities are private and invite-only. Do not share invitation links or sign-in links with people who are not meant to have access.
2. Communities
Each community is operated by the organisation that runs it. That organisation sets its own rules, decides who may join, and may remove members or content. If the organisation stops using Upklass, its community and content may be removed.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. You give us permission to store, display, and transmit it so that we can operate the service for you and your community.
You must not post content that:
- is unlawful, harassing, hateful, or threatening;
- infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or privacy;
- contains malware or attempts to compromise the service;
- is spam, or promotes a scam.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach these terms or that put other users at risk.
4. Course material
Courses, videos, and files inside a community belong to the organisation that published them. Do not download, copy, re-upload, or redistribute them outside the community unless you have that organisation's permission.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the service;
- attempt to access accounts, communities, or data that are not yours;
- probe or test our security without written permission;
- resell or white-label the service without an agreement with us.
6. Payment
Where an organisation subscribes to Upklass, fees, billing periods, and renewal terms are set out at the point of purchase. Subscriptions renew until cancelled. Individual members are not charged unless their organisation tells them otherwise.
7. Availability
We work to keep Upklass available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. Where a change is significant, we will give reasonable notice.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using Upklass and delete your account yourself - see Account deletion, which also explains the one case where deletion is refused and what is kept afterwards. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, or if required by law.
9. Disclaimers and liability
Upklass is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data or profits. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
We are not responsible for the content, conduct, or teaching of the organisations that run communities on Upklass.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Upklass after a change means you accept the updated terms.
